MecSoft Joins Onshape App Store

IRVINE, CA, USA, Jan 26, 2016 - MecSoft Corporation announces that it has joined the Onshape App Store. The Onshape App Store that has been released in private beta allows users of Onshape easy access to applications to augment the capabilities of the Onshape CAD product. MecSoft is a principal CAM participant in this App Store with an initial product offering called VisualIMPORT for Onshape.

VisualIMPORT for Onshape allows access to the users’ on-line Onshape account from inside VisualCAD, enabling users to view and import part files from their Onshape account. Once imported into VisualCAD, users can utilize VisualCAD’s plug-in VisualCAM to create cutter paths for CNC machining.

VisualCAM additionally includes a completely free 3 Axis CAM product called FreeMILL.

With just a few clicks from the app store, Onshape users can immediately start generating toolpaths starting with 2 1/2 axis and going all the way to 5 axis.
