Based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and leveraging Quintiq supply chain planning and optimization capabilities, Dassault Systems’ “Perfect Order” industry solution experience offers mining companies a holistic view of what’s occurring throughout the supply chain, from infrastructure constraints and bottlenecks, to labor shortages or the financial impact of an operational change. In a digital environment, companies can plan across supply chain functions to ensure they meet forecast demand, visualize all activities in their supply networks and optimize the flow of goods, resulting in greater predictability for their business.

“Mining companies are looking to experience the digital transformation that has brought operational stability, enterprise agility and improved business performance to other industries,” said Marni Rabassó, Vice President Natural Resources Industry, Dassault Systems. “Dassault Systems offers a diverse set of solutions to the mining industry that stems from decades of technological expertise. With ‘Perfect Order,’ mining companies will uncover hidden value in increased efficiency of the supply chain, which also improves the customers’ delivery experience.”

Specifically, the “Perfect Order” industry solution experience provides:
  • A single source of truth that connects all planning decisions, from mine to port.
  • Improved shipment forecasting and logistics planning integrating market demand forecasts, availability of commodities at mine sites, and the capacity of transport networks as well as predictive intelligence that leverages historical data and causal factors such as price and GDP.
  • Real-time key performance indicators on the impact of planning decisions that allow for rapid adjustments to be made to keep deliveries, specifications and budget on track.
  • Ability to match supply and demand to resource capacity, maximizing fulfillment of contracts and resulting in fewer penalties and an improved customer experience.
“Perfect Order” will be presented at the Dassault Systems booth at MINExpo 2016, September 26-28 (booth 2453).

Dassault Launches My Retail Theatre for Consumer Goods, Retail

VELIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France, Dec 3, 2015 - Dassault Systems (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced the launch of “My Retail Theatre,” its new industry solution experience for consumer goods and retail. Based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, “My Retail Theatre” provides consumer goods companies with interactive, high-end 3D visualization capabilities that let shoppers configure personalized products offline or online. Retailers can display their full product assortment regardless of physical store size, increasing consumer choice while reducing the need for large inventories.

In the fast-paced fashion industry, consumers expect new products and shopping experiences. Retailers must create and nurture personal relationships with consumers to inspire brand loyalty. While worldwide e-commerce sales are steadily increasing, physical retail stores still play an important role in connecting with shoppers, forcing retailers to juggle the challenges of maintaining a competitive edge with managing inventory and providing on-trend products and quality store displays.

Dassault Systèmes’ “My Retail Theatre” industry solution experience leverages product development data for consumer-facing usage, transforming it into a visual experience that benefits both retailers and their consumers. Its digital continuity lets retailers create sales and marketing assets from the same 3D master model that was created during the product design phase, for consistent and seamless messaging across all selling points.

With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s 3D photo-realistic capabilities, consumers can select, configure and personalize products in a store or on the web using a range of interactive display devices such as tablets, smartphones and touch screen-based systems. Athletic footwear, jewelry, watches, leather goods and other consumer goods can be interactively explored by consumers and customized with unique colors, materials and textures. Product components are displayed based on available inventory and deliveries can be quoted based on realistic lead times. Once fully configured, consumers can proceed to checkout and share their product on social media.

By replacing physical stock with 3D digital photo-realistic images, retailers can also offer consumers an extended product assortment without increasing inventory or compromising on the quality of store displays. In addition, retailers can gain insight into consumers’ tastes and trends and maximize their online engagement.

“And frankly, this is what it’s all about,” said Chris Hilliyer, Senior Innovation Manager, Deckers Brands. “It’s about communicating and providing your customers with choice, endless choice without the hassle of inventory management. 3D tools are completely changing the way brands interact with their consumers. That’s a revolution for the industry."

“Dassault Systems’ ‘My Retail Theatre’ industry solution experience offers the ultimate personalized purchase experience across all channels—from digital ‘look books’ and catalogs to e-commerce shops or interactive in-store concepts—that incites consumers to go past the browsing stage,” said Susan Olivier, Vice President, Consumer Goods and Retail Industry, Dassault Systems. “Technology, specifically 3D design data from concept to consumer, is inspiring new ways of shopping that transcend the traditional brick-and-mortar store. Our portfolio of industry solution experiences delivers the necessary digital continuity for product innovation and the consumer environment.”

Dassault Launches 'Perfect Product' for Consumer Packaged Goods Industry

http://www.3ds.com
VELIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France, Jun 13, 2015 - Dassault Systems (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced the launch of the “Perfect Product” industry solution experience for consumer packaged goods companies. Based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, “Perfect Product” offers brand and contract manufacturers a digital collaborative innovation platform to discover and develop high-performing formulas that reinforce brand equity and inspire consumer loyalty.

For manufacturers of beauty, personal care and household goods, a formula’s performance determines the quality of a consumer’s product experience and the willingness to repeat a purchase. In a crowded marketplace where over 80 percent of new product introductions fail within their first year, discovering breakthrough molecules by evaluating benefits through scientific simulation in silico translates into accelerated time-to-market, increased sales and clear product differentiation.

“Perfect Product” brings together consumer insights, formula discovery and design, regulatory compliance and product specification management into a single platform. This enables multiple functions inside and outside the enterprise to collaborate together in real time, accelerating formula development, optimizing costs and virtually eliminating product recalls related to formula non-compliance.

“With ‘Perfect Product’ based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, consumer packaged goods businesses can deliver winning products with authentic performance claims and strengthen the value of their brand,” said Philippe Loeb, Vice President, Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail Industry, Dassault Systems. “Our business platform unifies fragmented people, processes and systems. This can result in improved quality, in reduced sourcing and launch costs by up to 30 percent and in shortened development time by up to 20 percent.”

“Perfect Product” is the third industry solution experience introduced by Dassault Systems that is tailored for the consumer packaged goods and retail industry, following “Perfect Shelf” and “Perfect Package.” Companies now can design the key elements of product, package and shelf in a single digital platform, with the agility to create better products for the consumer at a lower cost while reducing the risk of failure.

Dassault Launches 'Passenger Experience' for Aerospace, Defense Industry

http://www.3ds.com
VELIZY-VILLACOUBLAY, France, Jun 13, 2015 - Dassault Systems (Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), the 3DEXPERIENCE Company, world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced the launch of “Passenger Experience,” a new aerospace and defense industry solution experience, featuring high-end 3D visualization technology for the profitable delivery of customized aircraft cabins.

Aircraft modernization and the retirement of thousands of aircraft over the next decade have led to a strong build cycle in the industry. This is spurring innovation in cabin personalization as an effective tool for business jet original equipment manufacturers, completion centers, suppliers and airlines to differentiate themselves and build customer loyalty.

Based on Dassault Systems’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, “Passenger Experience” uses high-end 3D visualization technology and interactive content to transform engineering data into powerful, visual 3D design, marketing and sales applications that address all aspects of the cabin design experience- from initial customer interaction and design validation and verification, through to marketing campaigns.

“We are convinced that the Dassault Systems ‘Passenger Experience’ will help to better differentiate from competitors and more efficiently meet customers’ demands,” said Martin Rehmet, Product Manager, RECARO Aircraft Seating. “The results of our initial project with the sales configurator have exceeded our expectations.”

“Passenger Experience” automates cabin completion processes and personalizes cabin buying and marketing experiences with cost-effective and time-saving features:
  • Essential intelligent ‘building blocks’ capture rules, regulations, and manufacturing knowledge to automate cabin interior design, development and delivery;
  • Real-time cabin configuration and immersive cabin validation capabilities enable quick turnaround time on design configurations, reduce engineering changes and ensure that the final product meets expectations before a physical prototype is created;
  • Different forms of training and visualization content, including web-based course-ware, interactive game-based training and fully immersive 3D visualization, increase training efficiency and minimize time out of the field for cabin crews and aircraft on the ground;
  • 3D data provide marketing teams with high-end cabin images and videos to promote cabin designs that can be quickly adapted for a wide range of marketing purposes, digital channels and devices, and eliminate costly photo shoots.
“Allowing aircraft customers to experience their choices as they make them, to appreciate the beauty, effect, practicality, feasibility, cost and benefit in real time as they make these choices, is a key goal for ‘Passenger Experience’,” said Michel Tellier, Vice President Aerospace & Defense Industry, Dassault Systems. “There is a competitive advantage in bringing maximum harmony between the interior while it is being specified and what will be delivered, and ultimately marketed, to the private or commercial passenger.”
