Autodesk AutoCAD DGN Hotfix Available

This Hotfix cleans up non-essential data from DWG files that have become bloated while copying and pasting from DWGs containing DGN linetypes. It will also prevent future occurrences of the file bloat issue from occurring.

It applies to AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD 2013 and to related vertical products.

ASCON Offers Free 3D Modelling App for Android, iOS

ASCON releases SubDivForme, a free add-on for 3D modelling on mobile devices running the operating system (OS) Android and iOS.

Based on SubDivisionSurfase technology - model is described by a network of reference points, which can be approximated in a smooth shape algorithms. In a stage of working with a form there is no either body or surface, that provides easy and fast transformation (as only points are moving) - SubDivFormer, with its versatility feature can be used by both professionals (to create object images, products and arbitrary shape objects) and by amateurs, who will be able to use the application as an electronic designer or as a hobby. Model obtained by the add-on is stored as an STL-file and transferred to the 3D-printer for rapid prototyping.
