ZWCAD, Lightworks Partners to Offer Artisan for ZWCAD+ 2014

ZWCAD Design, an innovative supplier of CAD solutions for the MCAD and AEC industries, announced that it has established a technology partnership with Lightwork Design (Lightworks), a supplier of rendering solutions for developers of advanced 3D computer graphics software. Lightworks’ powerful rendering application Artisan offers ZWCAD+ users a more realistic way to present their ideas for architectural and interior design.

Rendering Gains Popularity in Architectural and Interior Design Industries

Rendering is one of the most popular and flexible tools that is used in the planning and development of construction plans. It allows architects and planners to view the construction and interiors before a single brick is laid, whilst clients have the opportunity to see their projects before investing in them. The approach is cost and time-effective with fewer changes needed at the construction stage.

"3D visualization enhances the sense of reality by leveraging the power of today's rendering technology whilst also enhancing the effects that are difficult to achieve using 2D alone," said Daniel Huang, Product Manager of ZWCAD+. "With the combination of Artisan and ZWCAD+, users can flexibly handle more diverse architectural and interior tasks using high-quality rendering."

Enabling ZWCAD+ for High-quality 3D Rendering

ZWCAD+ users are now able to visualize their designs with Artisan rendering technology. Current drawings will be directly imported to Artisan, with no need to export the designs. Designers can explore and compare multiple effects in a more intuitive way, making architectural and interior tasks extremely flexible and efficient. Artisan’s Snapshots functionality allows designers to compare several iterations of the same design quickly. The unique ‘bridge’ into ZWCAD+ means that if the model changes, the render will reflect this change automatically. The simplified workflow requires fewer steps to complete rendering tasks, resulting in a shorter design cycle and a faster time to market.

"We can see the 3D design function in ZWCAD+ is getting improved with the addition of the Artisan technology," said Daniel. "And we are confident that in the coming days, more users will be able to enjoy additional custom design solutions that integrates ZWCAD+’s powerful CAD capability."

David Forrester, Chief Executive Officer of Lightworks commented, "We're delighted to be partnering with ZWCAD+. Their extensive global distribution network helps bring our easy-to-use rendering technology Artisan to all the ZWSOFT users worldwide. Coupled with their growing user base, I'm confident the partnership with ZWCAD+ will be a great success."

Lightworks Artisan will be available for ZWCAD+ 2014.
