VisualIMPORT for Onshape.
VisualIMPORT for Onshape allows access to the users’ on-line Onshape account from inside VisualCAD, enabling users to view and import part files from their Onshape account. Once imported into VisualCAD, users can utilize VisualCAD’s plug-in VisualCAM to create cutter paths for CNC machining.
“We are very happy to see VisualCAM now available to all Onshape users via Onshape App Store. Onshape users now have access to affordable, production level CAM. With just a few clicks from the app store, Onshape users can immediately start generating toolpaths starting with 2 1/2 axis and going all the way to 5 axis. Users are now cutting parts on their CNC machines directly from the Onshape documents. The fact that users can also access FreeMILL, a free 3 axis CAM component of VisualCAM is an added benefit” says John McEleney, CEO of Onshape.
“MecSoft is extremely excited to partner with Onshape by participating in their app store to bring CAM functionality to Onshape. With VisualIMPORT for Onshape, a product that can be obtained through the app store, Onshape customers can access their Onshape part files for the purposes of manufacturing them” says Joe Anand, CEO of MecSoft.
